Hey, I'm Iqbal currently working as Cloud Security Engineer at eFishery. I enjoy working around observability and security blue team system.

I have experience as Observability Lead (Trace, Log, Metrics, etc) in current company and security blue team system (SIEM, Security Logging, etc) in previous company. I also enjoy scripting in python and bash with strong OSS background.

Disclaimer, I'm looking for freelance project not full time job.

  • Currently on transition from observability lead to security focused cloud engineer.

Md. Cloud Engineer - Observability Lead (Jan 2023 - Mar 2023)

  • Chaos test grafana dashboard and mimir before production, ingestion using k6 and query using locust.
  • Adaptation 50% of engineering division service to pagerduty with kuma.
  • Adaptation 40% of golang backend services for RED Metrics.
  • Participate in request handling and on call schedule.

Site Reliability Engineer (Aug 2022 - Dec 2022)

  • Researching open telemetry and jaeger.
  • Deploy HIDS for public facing vps with wazuh and enhance network monitoring.
  • Researching LGTM stack from simple cluster to ha/microservices cluster.

  • Finishing for production appliance after deployed by engineer (make sure all system up and running at day one.)
  • Listen and deploy new/changes feature from RnD staff (imagechanges, log4j patches, deploy new pod, etc.)
  • Shifting 24/7 for system availability (fix any alerts come from searchlight/nagios, most time used here.)

  • Learn how to create security appliance from zero to ready production (from bios to containerization.)
  • Responsible for security data collection, such as Log Forwarding/Pulling (Fortigate, Cloudflare, Kaspersky, etc) and Network Monitoring/Traffic SPAN (Local SPAN, RSPAN, ERSPAN.)
  • Responsible for daily operation (troubleshooting, customer request, senior security analyst concern.)
